Dean P. Heneghan, President of Heneghan and Associates, P.C. in Jerseyville is pleased to announced that they have purchased the engineering and land surveying firm Longwell, Lange and Braasch, Inc. of Effingham. Kenny Longwell, a licensed engineer and Charlie Braasch, a licensed land surveyor will join Heneghan and Associates and operate a new regional office for Heneghan and Associates in Effingham. The office will be located at its present address of 1001 W. Jefferson Avenue. Heneghan stated, "We are very excited to open a regional office in Effingham and are happy to be associated with two experienced professionals such as Kenny Longwell and Charlie Braasch." Longwell and Braasch started their firm in 1974 and have provided engineering and surveying services to local municipalities and developers throughout the Effingham area.

Longwell stated, "Charlie and I are looking forward to being associated with Heneghan and Associates. The size and background of their organization will allow us to call upon greater resources, which will allow us to better serve our engineering and surveying clients in the Effingham area." Heneghan further stated, "Along with Kenny and Charlie's extensive background in the Effingham region, along with the support of our other offices, we will be able to provide professional engineering and surveying services in a timely and cost effective manner."

With the addition of Longwell and Braasch, Heneghan and Associates now have five licensed land surveyors, thirteen engineers and a total staff of thirty eight employees. Heneghan and Associates provides civil engineering and land surveying services to state, county, municipal and private clients throughout central and southern Illinois. Heneghan and Associates also have regional offices in Centralia and Jerseyville, Illinois. Heneghan and Associates' main area of expertise is municipal and rural water engineering as well as land development services.
